After a long period in the UK it is great to get away, escaping the begging of winter to come here to Brazil. I flew here with Susi, and when we arrived into Fortaleza after 20 hours of traveling, straight into a buggy and off to Cumbuco for a session in the lagoon at sunset.

The first few days have been pretty busy, with the new ‘Kite Show’ contest hosted by kite forum.com, in Cumbuco town that I entered, it has been a fun few days! I am still deciding whether or not to enter the KPWT world event next week, but I will post again regarding that soon.

Our plans for the next few weeks include our kite camps in Paracuru, followed by an epic down winder to Jericoacoara. For info check: www.kiteadventures.com. After that we might hit the ’ Tremembe Kite Mansion’ south of Fortaleza with Sam and Niko.

Well, after a good length of time to get over the effects of the German beer, everything is back on track. Just booked my tickets to Brazil in order to hit up the Susi Mai/Tom Court MaiTai kite camp that we are putting on…should be fun. The IOW has been fun for the last few weeks, hitting up some pit bike racing with my mate Stu who helped out at white air last month. Next stop Brazil!

After a sick ten days in Germany, a short visit to the North HQ, i am now back at home in the UK. Got my ticket to Brazil on the 26th of October, so i have a few weeks to get fit for that. Here is a shot from the river wave in the middle of Munich City. Great fun!

Today marks the end of the PKRA world cup in Chile, and a conclusion for the whole years world tour. Matanzas, Chile being the final contest of the year, with freestyle and wave discipline’s in kiteboarding. I finished this event in 9th place for the freestyle championships, another top ten finish.

Shortly the years roundup will be made and i will see my final overall result for the 2008 PKRA world tour. It was my goal for my first competitive season to end in the worlds top ten…i now wait to see if this is a reality for me :)

I have now moved about 8 hours down the coast from the PKRA comp site and i have been chilling out in the well known cumbuco kite town…awesome spot, have been here now for almost a month, training and working on video and photos in the lagoon.

i got another 9th place in the KBWT super kite world tour stop, this will be my last world event for the year, missing out on the PKRA in chile, too cold!!

here begins my winter training and trips for next year!!
