The last few weeks I have been traveling around the philippines with Aaron Hadlow and Sam Light. We went to Boracay to film some kiting and check it out before going to the Wind or No Wind (WONW) that is held at the CWC water sports complex in Camsur.

It was awesome to be back there again to ride in the event, see some of the best riders out there hitting cable, boat and all hanging together, it was a good vibe. The contest side of things went well for me, I came 3rd over all along side Sam Light (2nd) and Aaron Hadlow (1st) and also a 1st along side Brandon Sheid for the GoPro video challenge.

There will be some photos up on my facebook page in the next few days!http://www.facebook.com/tomcourtkite

SO, I flew out to the Philippines a few days ago to hit up a big international kiteboarding event called ‘Wind or No Wind’…the idea of the event revolves about crossing over sports between kiteboarding and cable riding. Check out the website @ www.windornowind.com.

I came a week early to get some riding in and get fit after a few weeks in the UK. It always takes at least a week to train and get back into it before an event! Check out some shots from my warm up sessions yesterday! I will keep news from the event coming…

So, Iv been back on the IOW now for a week or so, seeing y family and getting some things together for 2010. The weather has been pretty bad apparently in the UK for most of winter so far, however, the day I arrived we had some of the biggest swell hit I have seen in years. My local surf break was topping out at about 3 times over head. I have been getting some epic waves in the last few days…check out the closeout shot!

My vague plan for the next few weeks is to ride here in the UK, practice some of my tricks in the cold to make sure I have them solid and then think about heading to Australia at the begging of Jan. Will keep you posted of what goes down in the UK…

i have also put together a travel story about some of the spots and the winter season here in the DR, as it is the low season and its empty! this should be out in the next issue of STANCE magazine.

here are some shots from some of the local spots!
